Mission
GPA Ministry is an international Christian charity organization consecrated in working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to overcome poverty. Assisting them and guiding them towards becoming self-sufficient.
Vision
GPA Ministry’s vision is to restore faith and hope in the lives of the unfortunate to reach their full potential and to ignite a passion for God in the hearts of our youth and encourage them to develop their talents.
History
GPA Ministries began with the vision of two young brothers Jesus and Jaime Taveras.
-In the year 2007 at the age of 15, Jesus had a dream to organize a concert to help children in need around the world. That year he achieved his first concert, aimed towards reaching the youth in Southwest Florida with the artist Quest, while his older brother Jaime attended Ignite; a 9 month program dedicated to preparing students called to full time ministry. God simultaneously birthed “God’s Purpose in Action Ministry” in the hearts of the Taveras’.
-GPA’s first outreach afforded them the opportunity to send a shipment carrying thousands of pounds of clothing, furniture, and food overseas in December 2007 to the Dominican Republic and collaborate with Rev. Israel Suarez and Nation Association Charities in response to “Hurricane Joel”. GPA aided families whose homes were destroyed by this catastrophic event.
- On May 16, 2009 GPA Ministries collaborated with Nation Associations locally in Fort Myers, distributing nearly 10, 000 pounds of food to families in need, during the dramatic rise in unemployment. Afterwards during June of 2009, GPA Staff set out to D.R. providing food and medication for the children and family in Rafae, the small home town of Fundacion Agape del Bienestar del Niño in the city of Santiago.
- December 2009- GPA Ministries held a Christmas festivity providing food, entertainment, and gift to unfortunate children in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
-In the last two years, GPA Ministries has been able to impact thousands of lives through their large worship events and services to the needy.
